What's New at the ASC for 2008

  • Some changes have been made to the Rules, Constitution, and Bylaws. Please check them out so that you are up to date. They are available on the ASC website as well as in the show office at every show.
  • Membership prices have changed. Adult member ships are now $15, Youth are $10, and a Family is $30.
  • As a part of your membership you are now required to complete 4 hours of volunteering at the ASC. These may be done on either the Saturday night before the show (jump or trail set-up) or on the Sunday of the show. These 4 hours must be completed to qualify for year end awards. Volunteering may be done by you, a family member, or a friend. Please speak to an ASC representative to book a time slot or if you have any questions.
  • There is now a warm-up for people entering the trail class at the cost of $4.00. You will have 5 minutes in the ring and warm-up ends at 8:45am. There will be 4 horses allowed in the ring at a time.
  • We will now have a Medic service at all shows. A Medic charge of $3.00 has been added to entry form fees.
  • The walk-jog class has been split into 2 classes of (1) 12 and under and (2) 13 and over.
  • We have added a walk/jog trail class. This will take place over some of the trail obstacles and the pattern will be simplified.
  • There is no longer a junior or senior trail. These classes have been combined into an Open Trial.
  • Leadline is now restricted to children ages 3-8.
  • There is a new year end award for the Western Performance riders. This award will be called Western Versatility and riders will be required to enter a showmanship, a horsemanship, a trail, an English (pleasure or equitation), and a pleasure class. To qualify Riders will be required to compete in this set of classes at each of the shows they attend, with a minimum of 3 shows attended, and a completion of their volunteer hours.
